A blue badge guided walking tour through Central London, “Gandhis London” is being launched May 18, 2007 in London.

The tour will be guided by The London Walks Company.

The walk, expected to take upto 3 hours will explore London buildings, monuments and historical spots associated with Mr. M.K. Gandhi, also known reverently as Mahatma Gandhi, the leader of Indian freedom struggle and apostle of non-violence.

Tourist guides will introduce London of the era Mr. M. K. Gandhi lived and visited.

Mr. Gandhi first came to London to study law in 1888 at University College of London and made four subsequent visits as a civil rights activist in South Africa and finally as the leader of Indian freedom movement.

The Gandhi’s London Walk is culmination of two years of research, field work and creative ideas sponsored by The Goyal Foundation and is expected to become a regular feature on London tourism map.
